The Humane Society of Bay County’s Community Service program is provided for individuals 16 and older who are completing community service for school, work, court, or a club. Community Service opportunities are available 7 days a week, including holidays. Community Service individuals assist employees with the daily duties at the shelter such as cleaning cages, washing dishes, shredding newspaper, laundry, and other duties as assigned. Community Service workers do not directly work with animals.
The community service worker AND the parent/legal guardian must sign the release form provided by the Humane Society of Bay County prior to the teen completing community service hours.

Donations For Hours
We are always in need of supplies for our pets. In order for you to help reach your community service hours we are accepting supplies in return for hours.
Please use our wish list of items, located here, to create flyers to help bring in your donations. Contact friends, neighbors , relatives, your school, church, or a local business to help you gather the supplies and donations you want to collect.
Please drop of all donations and supplies during our business hours. Download the community service hours application below and have completed and ready to turn in when you drop off everything at the shelter.
This fundraiser is for students ONLY. You must be apart of a school club or community organization that requires community service hours. No community service hours will be given to those who need hours for misdemeanor or any other such crimes. Students participating in this fundraiser must solicit for donations ONLY and hours will be given to students who take the time raise supplies through solicitation not through direct purchase. This fundraiser is meant to raise awareness about the HSBC Shelter and increase supplies for the animals through third party advocates, which must be students.
