Lucy ( Female : Spayed 4 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Labrador retriever/ American bulldog mix- Black/White 30lbs (no more than 50lbs full grown)

Lucy is a sweet girl with a lot of energy! She was originally transferred over to us from Bay County Animal Control along with her sister Ethel (pictured on the right) They were adopted out as Sally and Suzie approximately a month ago, but recently returned due to the owner’s neighbors believing they were Pit Bulls.
We have full confidence that they are lab and american bulldog mix. They have docile and sweet personalities and just need to be given a chance.
We do not require they be adopted together, but of course that would be ideal.

A home with a large back yard and someone with children or plenty of free time is a requirement to ensure they have happy, healthy life.

Chico ( Male : Neutered 1 Year )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Pit bull terrier mix- Beige/White

This handsome boy loves to play and be the center of attention. He is good with other dogs, but probably would do best around submissive types. When playing, he does roughhouse a bit and uses his mouth/teeth but he is gentle with it and means no harm. If he were to play like that with another dog who is testy though it wouldn’t be a good fit. A large yard is a must for a dog his size, he weighs about 55lbs but that is the biggest he will get.

Dolly ( Female : 5 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Hound/Terrier mix- White/Tan 25lbs

Dolly was brought in with 3 other siblings due to the owners dog having pups and not being able to care for them all. She is super sweet and shy. Needs to be trained still on leash walking but seems to do really well with not having accidents inside. Since she is still pretty new we recommend coming in to see her and spending some quality time. 🙂

Quinn ( Male : Neutered 7 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Bulldog mix- White/brindle 35lbs

Quinn was rescued from Bay County Animal Control. They found him as a stray late July and no one claimed him so we transfered him to our no-kill facility.

He is very hyper and loves to be played with and petted at all times. While in his kennel, he will push his face and body up against the door and whimper until you give him love and attention. Since he has so much energy, he will require a large backyard. Obedience training is still a necessity but luckily those who adopt from us can register their adoption paperwork through the local Pet Smart on 23rd st and receive a coupon book that has a free 30 minute training session with their fabulous dog trainers.

Kona ( Female : Spayed 9 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Pointer/Lab mix- Black/White 30lbs

Kona was rescued from Bay County Animal Control. She was adopted out by them and returned late July for reasons unknown.

She is a medium-high energy dog that would require a house with a large backyard for playtime. She loves other dogs and people of all ages.

Kelso ( Male : Neutered 8 Months )

OK with Cats: No

OK with Dogs: Yes

Alaskan Husky mix- Tan/White 40lbs

Was tranfered to our shelter from Bay County Animal Control on August 9th. He was surrendered to them July 26th for reasons unknown. He had no luck getting adopted there and was running out of time.
Kelso has a lot of energy and loves to play. Needs a big backyard and someone with a lot of time for him. He weighs approximately 45lbs and full grown will probably be no more than 50lbs. Comes off as an alpha male with some dogs, would require meet and greet if you have current pets.

Hendrix ( Male : Neutered 11 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Pit Bull mix- Red/White 45lbs

Hendrix was tranfered to our shelter from Bay County Animal Control on August 9th. They found him June 24th as a stray. No one claimed him and he became available for adoption. Animal Control tried there best to hold him as long as possible but he was running out of time. He was days away from being put down until we pulled him. Now he has all the time in the world to find is forever home. Come give him a chance, you may fall in love. 🙂
Sweet and calm boy, loves to be by your side. Weighs about 45lbs and is full grown. We are not sure how he would do with kids but we encourage bringing the whole family up to interact with him. He doesnt seem to mind other dogs, he has a very relaxed and unbothered attitude.

Lou Lou ( Female : Spayed 8 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Shepherd/Bulldog mix- Tan/White 25lbs

Lou Lou was surrendered to us due to the owners relocating.
She is shy at first but if you get down on her level and give her belly rubs she will open up pretty quick. If you have toys around that is a plus because she loves to play fetch and tug-of-war. Currently she is about 35lbs and will not get much bigger.

Taz ( Male : Neutered 3 Years )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Shepherd mix- Black/White 50lbs

Taz was surrendered to us due to the family relocating.
At first, he comes off a bit overbearing because he likes to bark for attention. As soon as you get him outside of his kennel he is super sweet and playful. He is good with some dogs but not others. He is an alpha male and we would require a meet and greet if you have other dogs. In his previous home he was the only dog so we assume there was a major lack of socialization with other animals. A big yard is a must beause he is all about play time. He is full grown and weighs in at 50lbs.
