Humane Society of Bay County Has Relocted!!!
March 24, 2011Aaron Rich

The Humane Society of Bay County will be relocating its current shelter and thrift store operations at 1048 West 23rd Street, Panama City to two separate locations. May 1, 2011, is the official move date on both locations. The location for the animals is the former Cedar Grove Animal Hospital at 2620 E. 15th Street across the road from Coin and Bullion Reserve. The vet facility is better suited to accommodate the needs of the animals and it will allow the HSBC to take in approximately 70 animals, double the capacity at the present location on 23rd Street.

The goal of HSBC is to manage a no-kill shelter where all healthy and treatable (underage, sick, injured and poorly behaved), shelter dogs and cats find loving new homes as quickly as possible and to end the needless destruction of companion animals by working with our local animal control to reduce the number of animals in their care. Promote spay and neutering by offering the community a low-cost alternative and whenever possible, promote humane education to our youth and the community in general.
