Quinn ( Male : Neutered 7 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Bulldog mix- White/brindle 35lbs

Quinn was rescued from Bay County Animal Control. They found him as a stray late July and no one claimed him so we transfered him to our no-kill facility.

He is very hyper and loves to be played with and petted at all times. While in his kennel, he will push his face and body up against the door and whimper until you give him love and attention. Since he has so much energy, he will require a large backyard. Obedience training is still a necessity but luckily those who adopt from us can register their adoption paperwork through the local Pet Smart on 23rd st and receive a coupon book that has a free 30 minute training session with their fabulous dog trainers.

Sahara ( Female : Spayed 5 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Hound/Pit bull mix- Red/White 27lbs

Was tranfered to our shelter from Bay County Animal Control on August 9th. They found her and her sister, Kalahari, on July 5th as strays. No one claimed them and they became available for adoption.
She is very gentle and low energy most of the time. Good with other dogs and most likely good with cats. Definitley loves children and being around any and everybody. Once she gets in a home environment her docile temperment could change to a more playful one. Currently she is 30lbs and we predict she will be no larger than 50lbs full grown.

Kelso ( Male : Neutered 8 Months )

OK with Cats: No

OK with Dogs: Yes

Alaskan Husky mix- Tan/White 40lbs

Was tranfered to our shelter from Bay County Animal Control on August 9th. He was surrendered to them July 26th for reasons unknown. He had no luck getting adopted there and was running out of time.
Kelso has a lot of energy and loves to play. Needs a big backyard and someone with a lot of time for him. He weighs approximately 45lbs and full grown will probably be no more than 50lbs. Comes off as an alpha male with some dogs, would require meet and greet if you have current pets.

Lou Lou ( Female : Spayed 8 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Shepherd/Bulldog mix- Tan/White 25lbs

Lou Lou was surrendered to us due to the owners relocating.
She is shy at first but if you get down on her level and give her belly rubs she will open up pretty quick. If you have toys around that is a plus because she loves to play fetch and tug-of-war. Currently she is about 35lbs and will not get much bigger.

Eggsy ( Male : Neutered 1 1/2 Years )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Hound mix- Brown/Black 35lbs

Eggsy was surrendered to us due to his puppy like behavior. He would play too ruff with the smaller dogs and wasnt a good fit.
He would do great with other dogs his size with the same energy level. He means well and has no ill intentions when playing with others. Kids would love him because he is always on go. A big yard is a must along with regular trips to dog parks and the beach. 🙂

Nala ( Female : Spayed 7 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Retriever,Labrador/Mix – Black 50lbs

Nala was surrendered to us due to the family relocating.
She is a super sweet and goofy girl who doesnt know her size. Currently she weighs in at about 50lbs and being that she is almost an adult we dont think she will get much bigger. Her birthday is coming up in November and we are really hoping she doesnt spend it here with us, as much as we love her. A home with a big back yard, kids, and other dogs would be a great early everlasting birthday present. 🙂

Bug ( Male : Neutered 1 Year )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Retriever, Labrador/Mix – Rust/Black 45lbs

Bug’s full name should be LOVE bug! He is the SWEETEST dog because there is not one mean bone in this cuties body.
He was surrendered to us because the owner found him, after 9 months she had no luck finding owners, and her current dogs were starting to bully him. He does great with other dogs at the shelter because he has a docile and submissive presnece.
Unfortunately, Bug is heartworm positive. The shelter has already put him through some medication but the new owners would have to be responsible for keeping up with the necessary treatment. Heartworms can be scary but we caught them soon with Bug so there is hope that they can be relatively easy to get rid of so he can live a long healthy life. Please talk to your regular vet or do some online research about heartworms and consider giving Bug a chance. He is a really great dog that deserves the love and care he has been deprived of. **heartworms are not contagious**

Dalton ( Male : Neutered 1 Year )

OK with Cats: Unkown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Feist mix- Black 35lbs

Dalton was tranfered to our shelter from Bay County Animal Control on May 3rd. They found him as a stray. No one claimed him and he became available for adoption.

He loves toys, other dogs, kids, and listens very well. If you are looking for a medium-high energy dog then Dalton is perfect. He knows when to be super playful but also can compose himself when needed.

Poppy ( Female : Spayed 2 Years 6 Months )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Hound/Mix – Red 50lbs

This sweet heart has been with us for a little while now and before that she was found as a stray by the employees at Animal Care Center, a vet clinic in PCB. They held on to her for a while with no luck of finding an owner. She was transfered to us on May 16th and unfortunately hasnt gotten much attention.

Poppy loves to play and ruff-house with other dogs. She would do great in a home with other animals that have medium-high energy. Her personality is goofy and playful so she gets along great with kids of all ages. She is 50lbs and is full grown.

Taz ( Male : Neutered 3 Years )

OK with Cats: Unknown

OK with Dogs: Yes

Shepherd mix- Black/White 50lbs

Taz was surrendered to us due to the family relocating.
At first, he comes off a bit overbearing because he likes to bark for attention. As soon as you get him outside of his kennel he is super sweet and playful. He is good with some dogs but not others. He is an alpha male and we would require a meet and greet if you have other dogs. In his previous home he was the only dog so we assume there was a major lack of socialization with other animals. A big yard is a must beause he is all about play time. He is full grown and weighs in at 50lbs.
