Panama City, FL - Congratulations to Terri Davidson who was officially elected President to the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Bay County, on Friday, April 23rd.
Ms. Davidson has been serving on the Board of Directors for two years, and was elected Chairman of the Marketing/Public Relations Committee in October 2009.
Terri and her husband Clay, moved to Panama City in 2005, from Boone, North Carolina, where they owned a Nissan dealership. In August 2006, they opened "The Wine Dog", on 23rd Street in the Coronado Village Shopping Center. They reside locally, along with their several rescue dogs, whose pictures are displayed along the walls of "The Wine Dog". " Clay and I work such long hours, and having a photo collage of our dog family, makes us feel like they are near, just without the hair".
Ms. Davidson is a native Floridian, born in Tampa and raised in Satellite Beach, FL. She has spent many years contributing her time to various animal organizations in North and South Carolina, specializing in the care of sick dogs, fundraising and public relations. As President, Ms. Davidson is hands on and involved with all aspects of the Humane Society. Ms. Davidson stated, "My vision for The Humane Society, is to have an organization that makes a significant impact on the adoption rate of the homeless animals in Bay County and to work with other animal organizations to coordinate those efforts. Few communities are blessed with a no-kill shelter. I am determined to keep this a viable option for this community."
We are excited to have Ms.Terri Davidson at the helm of our organization and we are ready to move forward to create a future of fewer homeless animals in Bay County.
